Auto populating word property fields

I am working on a project to have the properties in Microsoft Word autimatically populate. Each document that I want this to happen has specific paragraghs. One is a Subject line. The other is a summary line. I want the Subject line in the document to populate, both the Title and the Subject Line in the Microsoft properties window. The summary, should populate an add in field named Description. I tried using VB and book marks, but it would not hold in a template. Additionally it still required me to add the book marks to each document. If I had to do that , I might as well just cut and paste the information there, and that defeats my attempt of automation. The purpose of this is so that I can organize all my documents on a digital dash board in sharepoint. This is not a company project but more of a learning endeavor. Here is my failed attempt code. It needs to run globally for all word documents, mostlikely in the [login to view URL] template so that it will be applied universally to all documents.
