Face Swap Solution for PHP Image Processing Script

Background ===================== Currently, we have a Image Generation Engine (written in PHP) that can allow other web applications to generate image on the fly by submitting a HTTP request to our server, specifying the background image and describing what it wants, e.g. putting text and images on the background image. We have recently tried the "Face Swap Live" iOS app (see [login to view URL]) and found it interesting. What We Want to Do ===================== We want to enhance our engine so that it can detect the faces in the image and, if wanted, then swap it. Technical Details ================== The engine we used currently is written in PHP5, using the imagicK image library, we would like to have a module developed which allows us to integrate it into our engine so that our engine can perform face swap operation. We are open in accepting any kind of solution, including solution that is purely a PHP class, or a C/C++ library. Yet, in order to allow easy integration, if the library is not a PHP class, then a PHP class that act as the interface between our code and the face detection library should be provided. For the class, - the constructor should take either a imagicK object or an image (either in the form of a URL, a file or a BLOB). - it should be able to perform "face-detection" operation and allows us to get back the information about the faces detected (i.e. the size and position of the faces, including the co-ordinations for the key-points of the eyes, nose and mouth). - it should be able to perform "face-swap" operation on the detected faces within the same image by specifying the "source face" and "target face" (say by specifying the index of the detected faces that we obtained from the face detection method) - it should be able to perform face-swap on a particular detected face with a face on a second image that we pass-in, something like $faceswapObj->faceswapWithFaceInExternalImage($targetFaceDetectedOnFaceswapObj, $secondImagePath); the faceswapWithFaceInExternalImage function allow us to specify which face (that was detected before) we would like to swap and also allows us to specify the second image. In other words, the PHP class need to detect the face on the second image. But in this case, the face detection process can be stopped once a face is detected. - we should be able to get back an image (in the form of either imagicK object or BLOB) that represent the modified image Functional and Misc. Requirements =========================== - The whole process of detecting all the faces within the photo and swapping of 2 detected faces should be finished within 1 sec. - For the swapped faces, we would expect the size, direction, skin color etc of the faces will be adjusted if needed so as to achieve a good face-swap result. Please refer to the "Face Swap Live" iOS app for the quality we expect. - The solution should be efficient in both memory and CPU usage as our Image Creation engine will be receiving up to 10 HTTP requests per second in pear hours. - The solution should work on both PHP5 and PHP7.
