We've encountered issues with old PHP code and MySQL follwing a a server move - some scripts are no longer working. Previous version of MySQL was 5.1.69; new is 5.7.34. Techs have tried numerous fixes including disabling strict_mode but have not restored functionality . Initially the error was: "Expression #1 of SELECT list is not in GROUP BY clause and contains nonaggregated column '******.id' which is not functionally dependent on columns in GROUP BY clause; this is incompatible with sql_mode=only_full_group_by" After some changes we are now getting: "ERROR 1064 (42000) at line 93: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'STATS_PERSISTENT=0' at line 9". I need someone with strong PHP and MySQL understanding and experience to get us back up and running. ***the project is for an adult website - please do not bid if that is an issue Thank you.

The errors you mentioned here are not about PHP but MySQL. Looks like you've upgraded to MySQL 8+ version. The MySQL 8 has some default settings which cause some SQL queries not to work properly. I can help you update your MySQL queries as well PHP codes so that it supports the latest PHP (7.3+) & MySQL (8+) version.

Let me very clear mysql upgrade shouldn't affect the script as mysql support previous version but it should be with php version.
