Hello I have understood it like that you need a desktop/web application where you can add clients and can attach scanned documents for them. The other functionality of application should be searching scanned documents based on client or date range. We can also tag(or categorize) documents. The application should give access to clients & scanned documents through authentication(Login Mechanism). The database will be encrypted so that no one can read data even if he have db login credentials. I have a question like, that where you want to host database? Central Server or Cloud? What you require I have done for another company sometimes depending on the scans DPI it could create an enormous database so depending on the amount of scan you need stored be prepared to have fairly large database that could be sluggish , There two ways of doing this project the first would be to reduce the DPI of the scan and then save to the database . Or the alternative allow the scans to be uploaded to an online file and have the database reference the scans address. This way would keep your database size to a minimum and fast and allow files to be opened from remote access via the address. I understand you would like to keep the files secured under password and I could keep the files under access protection with some security methods . This also make you structure easy to backup and recover doing it this way . Would like to take on this challenge if you like the price give us a shout
