I need someone to write me a simple script that adds fileds on each row of an txt and csv file. The fields are added from a other csv or txt file and inserted on the primary file with some simple separators (such as " or , or ; etc) So for example if on my primary files I have this values: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] and in the file that has the values I want to add are these values: 123 125 234 the script will add those from the 2nd file on each row of the first one in the exact order with a comma after the initial value and with my selected separator.(in this example I will use " ) and wil look like this: [login to view URL],"123" [login to view URL],"125" [login to view URL],"234" The job is rather URGENT. Thanks

Hello! Can start writing this straight away. I suppose the file names, as well as ceparator are to be put in variables? What it should do if it encounters the end of 'data file - 2' while still not reached the end of 'data file - 1'? Also what should it do it it winds more than a single column in any row of 'data file - 2' - pull only the left-most column, pull everything, do something else? There's no 'insert in midst of file stream' capability in php(with right-shifting the trailing portinon of the file, so not to overwrite) so teh only option would be to write to a intermittent file then replace the 'data file - 1' when completed. I can make small application for you that will do what you wish. I have a couple of questions. 1) What to do if number of lines in first file differs from number of lines in second file? Is this possible? 2) Should that be command line application with parameters? for example: joindata file1 file2 separator 3) Should application overwrite original file1 or create new one? 4) Working enviroment (Windows, Linux)?
