Hi, I have good experience in Time Series predictions. There are several ways in which we can improve prediction/forecast of a time series using Support Vector Machines. One of the things that's important is to identify the differential information in the time series (such as peaks and gradients) before we feed the data window to SVM. There are several methods this can be achieved, but 1- Convolution layer achieves this and would be suited for your problem. Hi, This is Dr. Harmanpreet Singh Kapoor. my approach for this will be like this: first, I will cluster stocks based on today and previous closing price then using momentum indicator and closing price I will find trend and pattern of the stock prices then I will use svm model to classify stock price into upward, downward and ranging on train data and prediction on test data.
