These test payloads are generated from the fixture and read from a json file. It sends these test payloads to the XXX service queue, waits for the service to process them, and then validates the service's response by querying the database where the service logs responses. The main steps are: Clear any existing data from the db tables used by the service for logging. Insert test severity data into the db that the service will use. Insert test alerts into the db that the service will use. Generate test input payloads using the fixture. This contains a variety of test cases. For each test case, send the input payload to the Virtual Coaching service queue. Wait for the service to process the message from the queue and log the response. Query the db table where service logs responses and compare to expected response based on test case. Validate the service response matches what is expected for the given test input. This allows validating that the XXX service works as expected by testing it with different inputs and checking the responses. The test cases and data are maintained separately from the test code for easier maintenance.
