Nathan Claire Africa provides technology solutions to the financial services industry across Africa. We work with about 20 institutions in the region. Some of our key customers are interested in a utility that will enhance their ability to capture and store data from all their service delivery channels preferably into a single database. For independence and performance, the preference is for a tool that capture capture network traffic from port spanning or a tap, inspect the TCP traffic and translate it into the high level financial transaction information, and then store the financial data along with metadata in a database. There is a premium placed on high performance and reliability. Furthermore, the utility or a complementary utility should be able to consider the follow of messages on the network and automatic render a diagram of the perceived network architecture showing servers, switches, protocols, etc.
