As a Linguistic Consultant of the Malay language for two semesters during my university years, I have done a voice over for a company in my native language (Malay) and have had my voice recorded for the field methods students to transcribe spoken sentences. My voice has been recorded for every class and elicitation sessions for the students to play their role as language investigators as they deduce theories of the Malay language. As a Malay native speaker, my diction and phonetics mirror how native speakers talk and my voice is a representative of how Malays converse colloquially and also in administrative Malay.
