User Experience Designer

Join our client, a global leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software. In addition to designers, architects, engineers and media and entertainment professionals, our client helps students, educators, and casual creators unlock their creative ideas through user-friendly applications. At the moment they are looking for a User Experience Designer, a passionate person who wants to work with them on real, challenging projects and make a difference. As a UX Designer you will design solutions and iteratively adapt those designs so that they meet the needs of our users and support the goals of our business, you will work closely with business stakeholders, software engineers, quality assurance, and customers to bring the team's ideas to life and you will sketch and prototype design ideas to communicate with team members and share with users. You will be doing user research, including on-site visits, interviews, workshops, surveys, and usability evaluations and you will develop and maintain familiarity with other products to ensure cohesive experiences across the Company’s products & services. Job Responsibilities: • Define and segment the user population into user profiles; • Conduct investigative studies to evaluate product usability. Studies vary in scope, function, and process based upon the nature of the product, its stage of development, and time and resources available. • Develop an analysis of studies, including documentation of the objectives, scope, interface studies, user profile and procedures employed to generate the data; • Analyse the data collected during the study, identifying/evaluating the general results relating to the interface; • Generate an overall summary of findings, customer priorities and recommendations; • Present findings, analysis and recommendations to the development team. • Provide feedback regarding user responses to the interface, including customer positive and negative responses; • Address questions and concerns and discovered through the test methodology; • Develop and maintain active relationships with usability professionals in other companies and with the profession in general to provide a format for the interchange of new ideas/concepts/methodologies for study and analysis, as well as a vehicle for comparing the effectiveness of existing methodologies/processes; • Focusing primarily on identifying local user problems based upon language, interpretation, and/or cultural differences; • Gather customer ideas for problem resolution and provides appropriate feedback/possible solutions to the product development community regarding issues identified.
