We have around twenty websites and services out on the web. I need a monitoring system to monitor all these services (mostly http/https, but others like mail servers should be possible).
The monitoring should
- frequently check if the service is reachable
- check if the http status is OK (not 404/50x or something like that)
- maybe check if ssl certificates have a remaining life team of at least 14 days
- do some content checking for websites (I could to provide some information in the config, so the system can see if it gets the right page) - maybe there exist even better approaches
- host checks (free disk space, memory usage, load etc.) - all are linux machines, mostly docker hosts
- alert me via email if something is off
- alert via SMS
All this should have a simple to use web interface.
I know that there are plenty of system out there (e.g. zabbix, icinga, nagios, ...), but I don't have the time to get started with them. I want you to decide which system matches the requirements best and then install it for me. You should include an installation manual, so I can reinstall it anywhere else if needed later.
I know that there are cloud services for this, too, but I like to have these systems under my control.
It would be probably the best if the monitoring system itself is a docker image/container. So I only have to backup some configs plus database and can roll it out anywhere else if needed.

hey i'll surely complete the all the above mentioned tasks within the given time just share the details i'll start my work as i have almost 7 years experience with development of wordpress,magento, opencart, zencart , php andd having almost 4 years of experience with linux server administration.
Will use Icinga with hostgroups for you, so when a new server got online you just pass the hostname to the configuration and it will apply the default tests for that group.
All you wanna can be provided by Icinga only with the exception of SMS, we need to setup a mail to SMS gateway or something else, that may cost you a monthly fee with this gateway provider.
The SSL checks, disk space, web content, all can be done with icinga.

I have a passion about systems monitoring, and have used a variety of systems both free and commercial. Depending on your budget, there are a number of options. Some easy to configure from a web interface to ones that require a lot of work.
From the description of the task, there should be no issues with doing the work, however if you are truly looking to monitor websites are available you need to look at a system that is remote from yours, so that you know your sites are available to the public.
