As a cybersecurity professional, I have a passion for identifying and mitigating potential security risks, and committed to staying updated in currents threats. Mastered skills in threat modeling, host-based security, network security, identity and access management, application security, network scanning, packet capture analysis, and vulnerability assessment. Experienced working with tools to identify potential targets and gather information about the network such as Nmap, WireShark plus vulnerability scanners like Nessus and Qualys. As a I growing up, I've always had curiosity for technology and its engineering. Thankful to my father, I inherited a sense of security in every aspect of my life. When you add those two together you get cybersecurity. When I was a teenager, I hiked one of the highest peaks in Puerto Rico, an island in the Caribbean, where I was born and raised. At that time, I noticed how vulnerable our natural resources were. There were no cell phones or computers with internet access on those days. Only word of mouth, newspapers and very little knowledge about this matter. This motivated me to protect and preserve our land under a small group my cousin and I called, "The Guardians of the Mountains". While I was hiking, I witnessed construction developers starting a project at the summit of Tres Picachos Peak. Despite my frustration at the time, I decided to move the skies and the mountains to stop these developers from destroying our precious natural reserve parks. It took a lot of work to gather information to spread the word. The people heard our story and thanks to our non stop effort they stopped the project from destroying these beautiful mountains. Once I committed to the Guardians of the Mountains and the urge to serve and protect our community really changed my life from that point on. Now I pursuit the same efforts to protect and defend sensitive data in business or home computers. Guarding value digital information from attackers as a cybersecurity specialist.
