Between 2005 and 2010, I have been working for an Internet Service Provider. I have begun as first line of support and after 1 year I have started to take Linux system administrator responsibilities. Starting with late 2006 I was a Linux System Administrator and Third Line of Support. Responsibilities during the above period:
-- building and maintaining provisioning systems using: dhcp, tftpd, inetd, perl, snmp and mysql
-- building and maintaining internal site: monitoring tools using cacti and custom perl scripts , customers and equipment management tools, web-services (SOAP) for automatic configuration of equipments.
-- configuring and trouble-shouting various network equipments: Cisco Layer 3 equipments (Cisco 2960,3560, 7600 series), Huawei, ZTE, CTS.
-- configuring and trouble-shouting a metropolitan area network: multiple vlans, VPN tunnels: MPLS, EoMPLS, OSPF, BGP.
--configuring linux servers: quaga server for bgp connections, vpn servers using openvpn or openswan, mail servers using postfix.
Starting from 2010, I work a company that provides web on-demand services. I work on daily basis with:
-- linux/debian , performing maintenance , configurations of new services , firewall
-- java administration
-- nagios/nrpe for monitoring
-- building and maintaining fail-over and load-balancing solutions
-- glassfish installations and tunning
