I am a professionally trained editor with over a decade's experience at an elite academic publisher. I hold a Certificate of Editorial Study (five semester-length classes) from NYU's Professional School; my undergraduate degree is in English. As a freelancer, I specialize in long-form writing---fiction and creative non-fiction. I have been under contract with a fiction house in Massachusetts for the past year. My book, "Voices Beyond Bondage: An Anthology of Verse" was released in 2014 from NewSouth Books, and has received national media attention. I have special interest in fiction (including historical fiction and YA fiction); 19th century American history; biographies and memoirs; and poetry.
