My love for the written word led me to a degree in Communication and then to various writing jobs. My first foray into professional writing was with a now defunct women's magazine, penning cover stories, a column on youth issues, and how-to articles on hairstyling. From there, I moved on to crafting ad copies, press releases, film synopses, and public relation campaigns. I spent three years in Ghana, West Africa as a VSO volunteer working with people with disabilities. I developed education, information, and communication materials aimed at raising awareness on deafness and deaf issues, wrote grant proposals, monitored and evaluated project implementations, and mentored officers and staff on fundraising, project management, and other functions. I am a social entrepreneur in search of opportunities to use my skills to help individuals and organizations, specially those engaged in helping disadvantaged people, to meet their requirements while earning additional income in the process.
