I studied Juris Doctor of Law here in the Philippines. I worked as a paralegal for a law firm where I've learned how to process common legal transactions, including legal research, the filling of various governmental applications, titling and property registration, incorporation, securing of licenses, permits and certifications, and payment of taxes and fees. I was assigned to write applications, complaints, affidavits, petitions and other legal documents. Since I already have the background in Philippine laws and legal process, it will no longer be difficult for me to study other laws relevant to the needs of a client.
I also worked as a legal assistant for a Canadian Lawyer. I was assigned to do a Copyright License Agreement that was being sent to several authors of the articles located in Canada, Europe, and United States. Those articles have been republished commercially on the website of the Canadian Lawyer. Despite the lack of knowledge about the said laws, I was able to write a copyright license agreement through researching and studying about the Intellectual Property Rights, Privacy Right, and Anti-Spamming laws of US, Canada, and Europe.
