VMWare Administrator • Responsible for remotely supporting and executing the build process in live production servers located in almost 600+ hospitals across the world. • Analyzing & helping vendors in troubleshooting various compute and storage hardware (HP, IBM & DELL) issues quickly and effectively. • Knowledge on administering VMWare virtualized infrastructure which include o Install, Configure, Manage virtualized infrastructure – HA, vMotion, DRS, EVC. o Installation, configuration & management of OS and application(s) o Creation of virtual machines, clones, snapshots, etc. o Configuration modification to existing virtual machine(s). o Integrating Configuring ESXi servers and vCenter Server o Upgrading vCenter Servers from 5.0 to 6.0 o Extending resources for virtual machines vCPU, RAM & Hard Disk. o Configuring HA & DRS in VMWare environment • Collecting Inventory of virtual machines, create or edit machine groups with latest inventory as part of Patch Management. • Creating new or editing existing Patch Groups, Scan Templates, and Machine Groups using Shavlik Console • Scanning and deploying the patches on Test & Production Virtual machines on various Windows platforms as per patch process. • Taking care of ESXi Patching. • Assessing and Implementation of Rabbit MQ servers. • Analyzing and troubleshooting Operating Systems issues quickly and effectively. • Create and maintain documents all the actions taken during migration activity including problem description and resolution through internal tracking and knowledgebase system. • Migrate Physical-to-Virtual Machines (P2V) with & without P2V convertor, migrate Virtual-to-Virtual Machines (V2V) in VMware. • Doing Hardware refresh and Decommissioning of old physical servers. • Creating, deploying and managing templates and clones. • Working with customer for smooth functioning of processing and storing the scanned images from modalities to storage servers. • Handling issues related to General Windows Servers. • Troubleshooting hardware related issues in servers. • Installation of 2012, 2008, 2003, 2000 Servers. • Administration of General Windows Servers. • Patching of Windows Servers through WSUS. • Maintaining asset track of the Servers. • Vendor management. • Worked in BMC Remedy ticketing tool and SLA based support. • Installation and configuration of SQL servers. • Maintaining SQL backups manually & through maintenance plans. • Creation & restoring SQL databases. • Installation of Windows 2008, 2003, 2000 servers. • Creating Users & Groups in Windows Servers • Installation & administration of Symantec 12.1v antivirus server in client environment, updating Symantec antivirus definitions. • Performing OS Vulnerability Analysis of the servers. • Ensuring the Servers has the latest MS patches and Antivirus definitions updated. • Working in BMC remedy tickets in our pool (SQL issues, IIS issues & Windows server issues) & assigning the tickets to team members.
