Victor is a Mergers and Acquisitions Senior Analyst within EY´s Lead Advisory practice covering the North LatAm region. He has two years of professional experience in Investment Banking, having worked in M&A and Debt Capital Markets both in the LatAm and international markets.
Victor has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance (with a minor in Accounting) from The University of Texas at El Paso (US) and is about to complete a Master´s degree in Applied Economics (concentration in banking and finance) from The University of Bath (UK). He has also achieved high professional designations, being a Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA), a Candidate for the CFA Level 2 exam, and having passed the CMT level 1 exam.
Victor has, from the issuer side, led the issuance of a bond under Rule 144A / Reg S, destined for the development of the largest hotel complex in Cancun, Mexico. During the same process, Victor actively supported on the structuring of a syndicated loan involving three parties including Mexico´s development bank, and the restructuring of a credit facility raising mezzanine financing.
He also supported an IPO process on the Mexican market, advised on sell-side M&A transactions for companies in the financials (fintech), logistics, chemicals, real estate, and healthcare sectors, and has been involved in multiple bond issuances on the Mexican debt capital markets for companies in the financials, pawn-shops, steel, and consumer discretionary sectors.
