Hi, I am looking for a perl script to parse files from a directory & subdirectories recursively into a mysql database. Because of the number of files I would require a log generated for processed files. Files may contain multiple records. Records are fixed with with a start of record delimiter of ÿÿ. There are 19 fields in a fixed postion after the start record delimiter, plus the reading of & writing to the database of the file name, file creation date & file creation time for each record. Whitespace would also need to be trimmed from the end of each field.
