A Project Report is prepared on a Restuarant Finder Android Application. After the submission of the report, there are few addition and comments received from the tutor for changes which is required on the report. Feedback for CST3100 – Computing Project Chapter 1 – Introduction This chapter needs to bring in information from your proposal and TOR. 1.1 Project background – make this clear. 1.2 problem statements 1.3 objectives: You should make sure that you have set of objectives from three to maximum five. Please number them and use same objectives across your documents (your proposal and IRR seem to have different objectives). If there is a change or additional objectives then you need to justify why. Some of the objectives are not really objectives but deliverables. 1.4 Deliverables: good. 1.5 Resources required and timescale. Ok. 1.6 Limitation of project is not clear. You need to be very clear of the scope of your project and its limitations. If you feel you are not covering specific areas then make it very clear that this is outside the scope of your project. 2. Literature Review The aim of this chapter is to show your reader that you have read and understand the main published work concerning your topic. You need to refer to different sources such as books, online sources and journals. You need to define key terms and present clear understanding of mobile phone applications and their impact on business and individual user level. You need to compare, criticise and highlight gaps in research. A good literature review, therefore, is critical of what has been written, identifies areas of controversy, raises questions and identifies areas which need further research. You started your literature review well where you listed your key terms that you will research but explanation of these key terms within your literature review are limited. You have included interview questions and their responses in your literature review. You need to remove this and put it in your data collection/analysis chapter if there is one. Also you need to think carefully about interview questions and explain how you have used the responses to shape your systems development. Chapter 3 – Methodology Your interim research report contains set of methodologies but is not well organised and not linked. You need to bring those information into your final report and organise them properly citing sources. Software life cycle development (waterfall model. Agile model etc) need to be explained and a model chosen and justified. Chapter 4 – system development 4.1 systems requirement 4.2 systems design 4.3 systems testing/implementation Your chapter 3,4,5,6,7,8 and 9 need to be reorganised and possibly reduced into three chapters as above. In your TOR, it indicates that you will develop client server application but there is no evidence in your systems design and implementation chapters that this was actually developed. You need to explain and justify this change in more detail that you have done in your report. Chapter 5 – Result and evaluation: in this chapter you could include result of your interview findings and evaluation of responses. Comparison of your application with existing application etc. Chapter 6 - Conclusion and recommendation:. conclusion should be based on your objectives. List each objective and explain how it was met or not met. You should provide recommendation to the business community or academia about your research and possibly suggest what further research could be conducted in the future.
