Comedy Product Market Reserch

I have an English spoken comedy product that has characters from 5-7 different nationalities that I want to market to an audience that either listens to and watches comedy. The product can appeal to an international audience given the range of characters nationalities I need to know what market outlets are out there i.e. (online, Itunes, sold in stores.). I would also like to know what countries sell the most audio/video comedy products be it online or through brick and mortar stores. Based on market outlets and product channells (audio or video) I'll be able to tell whether I should realease an audio or video product P.S. The U.S. and Canada as the first areas to check.
