Using the Program CDO [login to view URL]
I would need to remap a ocean current grid to a regular grid file in grib2 data format similar to the one attached.
I need to remap a file to a latlong regular grid and then convert it to a grip2 file.
When creating a file using the remap function values for the variables did not seem to end up in the new file.
I would be happy to have someone with better understanding of CDO write the commands for me.
The remapping process should not take to long and needs to be done within a few hours or less.
Later this should run in a shell script on the server.
I will appreciate if someone can look into this. Thanks

I would need a subset in the geographic extent -sellonlatbox,3,51,7,53.8
The following command did work, but i took two days to process on a i7 cpu with 64 GB ram.

Hello,
The only my suggestion for your problem is: make sure your computer has the GPU enabled. Especially, your machine should have nVidia based VGA adapter with more GPU processor. This will speed-up the processing. Although your CPU/Processor Core is i7 or Xeon, without GPU support it will slow down the process.
Let me know if I am wrong
