Body Mind Spirit expos (BMSE) is the largest producer of holistic living events in the nation and world. We are seeking someone to join our team and work on many of the major administrative tasks that help the events run smoothly. Here is an overview of the tasks and skillsets for which we are hiring: Admin Duties: - Negotiate with Decorator- (apx 150 hours annually) Secure the exhibiting pipe and drape for various BMSE expos. Choose based on quality and price for the given location and build strong relationships with the decorator. Applicant should be able to understand a given floorplan and be able to provide counts for all equipment needed based on those drawings and the BMSE website. Also, should coordinate the meeting between event manager and decorator prior to the expo. - Obtain Presentation titles for guide and website-(apx 150 hours annually) Applicant must be able to contact various presenters or their reps and enter the proper titles for all expo lectures into the BMSE admin site prior to the construction of the expo program guide. - Maintain Mail Lists (apx 160 hours annually) Applicant should update (and back up) BMSE mail lists from a variety of sources for addresses and emails. This will include checking computer-generated entries for accuracy. This includes change of addresses, new entries and deletes. - Book Employee travel (apx 100 hours annually) Applicant must have experience booking travel in a corporate or business setting. Travel booking should be proficient in standard online booking sites and tools. Further they should be up to date on sales and promotions before booking specific trips. The applicant will also negotiate for the “show hotel” to offer discounts to exhibitors and public for events. - Arrange hiring of temporary workers for expos (apx 80 hours annually) The applicant will place relevant ads and coordinate the schedules for local labor in expo cities. From Facebook to Craigslist the applicant will locate, screen and schedule the people needed to help show managers set up and run an event. Also, will make conformational calls to these workers on the day they begin their work. The successful applicant will be skilled in organizing details for events with firm deadlines via phone and email. They must be available for these tasks mostly in standard US business hours and work well with the expo permanent staff. A love of holistic topics and joyful attitude will help win the position.
