Hallo, Ik woon in Nieuw Zeeland, maar ben geboren in Nederland en heb tot mijn veetiende jaar in Nederland gewoond. Ik had 2 jaar Mavo gedaan, toen mijn familie naar Nieuw Zeeland emigreerde. Ik heb mijn hoger onderwijs afgemaakt in Nieuw Zeeland. Ik ben met eigen gezin teruggekeert naar Nederland en heb daar van 1989 tot 2004 gewoond. In de tijd dat wij in Nederland waren heb ik ervaring opgedaan in het proeflezen van vertaalde teksten, van Nederlands naar Engels en vice versa, voor de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Autisme, en de Indian Motorcycle Club Nederland en een paar andere vrijwilliger groepen. Daarnaast heb ik een technishe vertaling gedaan van Nederlands naar Engels in het gebruik van een simulatie apparaat dat blinde mensen leert hoe het voelt met een geleide hond te lopen. Ook heb ik vertalingen gedaan van Medische rapporten van het Engels naar Nederlands. Maar voornamelijk doe ik het proeflezen en editing van vertalingen en kijk ik naar de structuur en of de tekst logish is. Sinds ik terug ben in Nieuw Zeeland heb ik mijn Copy-editing and Proofreading kwalificaties gehaald, en doe ik dit werk part-time. Ik werk voornamelijk in Word.
