Short Stories for Children

Hi there. I am looking for creative writers for short stories for children, aged 5-8 (the children that is, not the writers ;-)). The stories should be funny, emotional, educational, exciting, adventurous... There should be one common hero in all the stories: My idea is that the hero is a young boy (Lucas, 6 years old) who's visited by an invisible character - invisible to everyone, except to the little boy. That invisible character could be a little dragon with a whole story behind it (i.e. he comes from an ancient treasure box from China... we can discuss this when you've been awarded the project!). At first, the boy is scared by the dragon - the boy doesn't have much confidence in himself, he is afraid of many daily situations (like taking the bus home from school without his Daddy coming to school first… he is afraid of a substitute teacher… he does not want to be separated from his Mommy or Daddy (only is funky-silly-funny older aunt he adores and can stay with without his parents) …but he's really very clever and very, very active... he loves to climb tall trees… he has many funny ideas… he loves to paint… he loves vanilla ice cream… Over time the two go through many adventures... which will be a story each... they become best buddies! The idea for each story will be that the boy becomes more and more confident and loses his fears one after one! Once the boy is confident enough, the little dragon moves on... Something to that tune. Each story should be some 1,300 - 1,800 words in length. Let's begin with 2 – 3 stories - maybe we make it 15+ stories --- we'll see how it goes. Please send me some of your creative (!) writing samples first, ideally something you have written for children! Logically, the work must be 100% original!! No copying, no plagiarism etc.!
