Applet needed for 3D models of molecular complexes using library for web-based molecular visualizations

Informing about libraries for web-based molecular visualizations 1.1 Informing about the cross-platform support 1.2 Choosing the library 1.3 Building a small applet 2.1Creating a website where the applet will be loaded and the the visualisations of molecular complexes will be displayed. One can use HTML, CSS and JavaScript to create the website together with the applet. Task 2.2 Loading local files The applet will use a function to load local files and display them on the website. The files will be downloaded from the Protein Data Bank PDB and used for the purpose of this project. Task 2.3 Enabling to export the 3D model as an image The applet will also have an option to export an image from the current 3D model. This feature is useful since the user has the option to save an image from the current model locally. Work Package 3 (Molecular display styles and colour scheme of the 3D representations) Task 3.1 Including molecular display styles The applet will have the option to choose between few (2 is okay) rendering techniques such as ball and stick, ribbon etc. The display style of the molecular complex will be changed according to the chosen option. Task 3.2 Defining a colour scheme The colour scheme will enable to distinguish different molecules in the molecular complex.
