I'm developing some new components on newer ARM target. However, there is a rather large install base of older devices that are difficult to update due to customer-specific stuff on them.
I got stuck with compiling ZeroMQ there and I'm looking for a ghost to do the following while I work on actual application:
Cross cross compile [login to view URL] to target armv7-unknown-linux-musleabihf on Ubuntu 22 / Intel (which we use to build the overall system).
Deliverables:
- Rust code to send or receive any messages (to itself or any zeromq sample code) over ZMQ
- Using zmq crate
- Running on armv7-unknown-linux-musleabihf
- Instructions to do the cross-compile and possible modifications.
Note that we've got old glibc version on the old targets, so 0MQ should *not* depend on glibc!
To filter our robot offers from Real Programmers: is glibc dynamically or statically linked ?
