The main purpose of this compatibility project is for live performances." I am a professional DJ and have been using Serato DJ Pro software coupled with a Rane SL4 interface for the last eleven years. I bought a MacBook Pro Retina in 2014 and never updated the OSX because the Rane SL4 has always worked with OSX Yosemite. I can still use this older MacBook Pro for this part of my work however as the computer gets older it becomes slower and less reliable. I bought a MacBook Pro M1 Max last October and hired someone on Freelancer to write whatever programming was needed to connect this new computer to my SL4, which is considered legacy hardware now that production and support of this hardware have been discontinued for over ten years. The person I hired to do this has been working on it since last October to no avail and has since started facing some serious health challenges. The fact that the person I hired to do this had been working on this for almost a year with possibly zero success leads me to believe that this project is more complicated than it sounds or that this person lost interest at some point and left his work unfinished. Maybe some of both, I don't know. The end goal here is to be able to connect my Macbook Pro M1 Max to my Rane SL4, which is an interface for using analog turntables with Serato DJ Pro software. I'm hoping to find someone who can customize current Serato DJ Pro software to work with the Rane SL4 using a MacBook Pro M1 computer with current OSX. Requirements: - Proficiency in Serato DJ Pro and Rane SL4 Legacy Hardware - Experience working with Macbook Pro M1 Max and OSX Ventura 13.5 - Strong troubleshooting skills to address any specific issues with the compatibility between Serato DJ Pro and Rane SL4 Legacy Hardware Please provide examples of previous projects or relevant experience in your proposal.
