Finite-difference equations will be formulated and solved that describe current flow induced by time-varying electromagnetic fields in the Earth. Students will write their own code in a programming language of their choice to solve the associated second-order differential equation. An introduction to the background science and explanation of the various algorithms will be given in class. In addition, students will be expected to identify and describe a scientific problem of relevance to them for which numerical computations could provide an answer or deeper understanding, and to write code to carry out the appropriate computations.
Hello,
I am an aerospace engineer and have a very good experience with Matlab and other sotwares such as IDL and Mathematica. I have done so far numerical simulations for light propagation and atmospheric dynamics.
Kind regards,
Adem
Hello could you please say more detail. You need to complete an assignment of your class or you need to create it? Do you the relating document? May be I can help. thank you
Hello dear costumer,
This job is appropriate for me because I am doing a PhD on Geodynamic numerical modeling of rifting in Matlab. I have studied finite differences and I usually work with finite element method. I woud definetly need more information about the project in order to understand how much time I will spend on doing it, and when do you need to have it done. I hope you consider my offer,
Cheers
Miguel
