1) In this section should demonstrate a generative machining using NX CAM module of the Siemens PLM solutions package to do the machining of the mold which was designed and validated in the first assignment. the inner surface of the model (cavity) and the other the outer surface (core) - The manufacturing technique of the proposed design should be optimised by a clear process of selecting the right machining parameters. This process of optimisation is aimed to reduce the machining time in order to achieve a competitive manufacturing cost of the part and the mold. Machining variables which contribute to this task of machining time reduction (for example; machining too path, federates, step-over etc...) should be properly analysed and approved. Submissions contents required to produce a machining setup and simulation of the above molded part and the part model using NX CAM manufacturing module and optimising the machining time. Prismatic surface machining operations (face, profile and pocket milling). Free form surfaces machining using dedicated methods. Drilling operations and optimisation. Tooling and Machine setup. Operations machining time optimisation & toolpath validation. Generation of the cutter location data (CLDATA) program. 2)Section - B CNC Machining Virtual Simulation & Verification Assignment Brief and assessment criteria: In this section required to run the full simulation of the optimised tool path generated in Section – A for the Core & Cavity models should choose the right post-processor and the CNC machine model. A library of a variety of postprocessor and CNC machines/controller are provided and can be accessed in the NX library. The selected CNC model can be updated to the design specification of the manufacturer if needed. The CNC machine postprocessor capability and machine specification. Generation of the machine code data (MCD) and explain the G and M Codes. CNC Machine working envelops (X, Y, Z maximum axis travel). CNC max spindle speed & feed-rate. Type of controller. Workpiece/fixture/clamping mounting techniques. Simulation & verification using G/M code.

I have been using NX cam software from past 7 years. I have professionally developed cam programs for vaccum forming moulds for All-terrain vehicle, similarly knuckles wheel hubs, shock mount blocks etc CAM programming has developed and deployed in the machine and taken output for the same and installed in vehicles. I think i will be a right person for your project. I can also support VIA video call for doubt clarification and also will help till the product comes out from the machine.
