Backup Tool Required

We require the creation of a simple backup tool. The backup tool will be extremely user friendly. It will use an XP-style wizard interface. When launched, the wizard will ask various questions in order to either produce a backup IMMEDIATELY at that moment... or to schedule backing up for future. For an manual backup, the user will need to select a particular folder or folders to backup, probably through an Explorer-style interface with check boxes, and the final destination. Then the program will perform the backup. For setting up automated backups, the wizard will need to allow the user to select the folder to store the backups (this could be on a different drive, on a floppy disk, OR on a CD-RW - very important), schedule backup times (ie, once every week, once every hour, once every day at 9am, etc), and specify how long they wish to keep the backups for (ie, delete backups after 1 day, 1 week, etc). When the backup process runs, the tool will take the folder and all sub-folders and create a ZIP file, copying it to the appropriate folder. If there are errors, such as the process not completing properly, the user should be informed. Preferably, a summary of the actions being performed should be displayed with notification boxes in the task bar. This is a relatively low budget bid request. You will need good UI skills and be SURE you can finished this project. PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE doesn't matter -- however this must run on Windows 98 and above. TESTING REQUIRED. Thank you for your bid! ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
