I have a script that was coded in Java which I run through SSH on a linux server. I want to run it on a shared host so it will be less expensive. Most shared hosts do not have SSH access so I will need to make the script web based into a servlet. My problem is the script needs to run for a month straight or more. There is a timeout issue with browsers and HTTP, and I want to see if there is a way to code the script so it runs without timing out. Please let me know if there is a way, and if you can take the script that is currently coded in java and convert it to work with a shared host as a web based application (servlet). Attached is the java script that will be run that needs to be converted to a web based application.
