Script not updating database

I have a simple football betting script that was updated to run paypal and alertpay. Now that the person has the updated payment systems in the script is not updating the database so I have no way to setup the games or change the settings. I had to remove the admin password system for access to the admin so I can demo the problem.. The [login to view URL] that should work is admin.php-bu in the script attached. I need the script to work right with the database and to be tested just to make sure it is working right. I think the problem is all in the admin.php. I have a demo setup to see and to test.
