XML Processing Simple Order System

This project consists of 2 modules. First module is a standalone Windows Application, which processes XML documents and writes to SQL 2000 database, and process Excel files and converts to XML documents. This program will be always memory resident and will be polling given folders and database continuously. Second module is a single web form, which shows PurchaseOrders headers and details in a multi-level datagrid. This web form will be secured by a login mechanism. There are 3 independent workflows, which are either initiated by a file put into the folder or changing a status in a database field. Both of 3 workflows will be controlled, logged and executed by stand-alone Windows application. First flow, ( As in [login to view URL] file) is initiated by an XML document put in a folder or by manually selecting the XML files to process. The processed XML file contain the header and details of purchase order. In first step, this XML file is processed, and moved to an archived folder. In second step, written to database (header,detail tables) and in third step the incoming XML file will be slightly modified and will be written to both Outgoing XML folder and Outgoing archive folder. Coders are more than welcome to ask clarifying questions regarding the project. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 4) If an OR Mapper tool will be used, this tool must have no closed-dll's. The preference is not using an OR Mapper tool. Just using native .Net libraries 5) We are expecting a progress report and written codes every 5 days. ## Platform The windows application module, should be running continuously and should have user interface showing ALL processes and activities done at that time. This application should run on Windows XP, Windows 2000 and 2003 Server. It should be a .Net 2.0 application using windows forms and C# Language. The webform module, should contain a login system, and it should be a ASP .Net 2.0 C# Application. It should be working on all IE6+ versions and Mozilla Firefox Visual Studio 2005 IDE is preferred to obtain all solution and project files. The database system will be SQL Server 2000 This windows application should be in industrial strength. And should contain all kind of error and exception handling mechanisms (missing folder, down database, corrupted file etc.) Must inform admin via e-mail. All parameters (polling time, folder names etc.) should be easily configured.
