Stock Validation Solution using Barcodes

A bar-coding solution to automate the Inventory Audit process. The solution shall ensure tracking of material using the data given by user in excel file. The inventory comprises of Spare Parts for an Automobile dealership and each part is pre-barcoded User will provide the details of existing inventory from its inventory management software already in place. The purpose of this software is to match the physical inventory with the system inventory. Since the no of SKU are high, I want the whole process to be automated with the help of Barcode scanning and validation software. The Auditor/User will scan each part in the inventory in the warehouse and the data needs to be compared with the data in the file uploaded. •User shall be provided with a Hand-held Terminal with barcode scanning and a software. •User shall have to create an excel file having the data in a fixed format. •A utility is needed to upload the System Data in the Hand-held Device or software in the PC, the system data will comprise of the unique bar-code Number details. Each spare should have a unique bar-code data in order to validate each spare. •User will use the Hand-held Terminal to track the material. The Handheld Terminal will have a customized application to track the material. •User will receive the System Stock data in the per-defined format, this data will be uploaded in the hand-held device over Wi-Fi or batch mode and user will go to the storage location to start the transaction The Auditor/User will scan each part in the inventory in the warehouse and the data needs to be compared with the data in the file uploaded. •The data upload can be done through batch mode or Wi-Fi through the system application, user requires application to run over Wi-Fi •Any mismatch or discrepancy will keep on getting registered in the backend. This discrepancy will be reflected in the output that will be generated once the complete cycle of transaction is done •User will download this output in the system application over Wi-Fi or batch mode after doing the complete transaction •This output will be viewable in the system application where the application will show any mismatch. •This output file can be exported in a per-defined file format where it will have the status against the system and actual stock •There should be an option to replace existing part number after scanning the code in case some other spare is stored in that carton. User will have to alter the data through password authentication by admin. •There should be an option for manual entry for non bar-coded
