ONUMA System developer (predominantly backend with some full stack web2py)

The ONUMA System is an ecosystem of tools and services for buildings, cities and more. Built by architects and programmers who have been using BIM (Building Information Models) for over 20 years. It is used from early planning, through design and construction and into operations. Onuma is looking to recruit a full stack developer with - Flexible hours/location - Lots of opportunity to learn and develop Responsibilities: Develop and maintain the in-house developed ONUMA System, and improve the various aspects of the system: - features - security - efficiency - stability (Ensure smooth day to day operation of Onuma system) Help guiding the technological choices to implement the features required. Programming skills: - Python - Mysql - Javascript - PHP (no new development in PHP but useful to have working knowledge) Experiences working with MVC framework: - web2py (Note: the front end is mostly developed by 2 angular and react developers) Ability to troubleshoot errors and bugs: - Server side troubleshooting - Client/server applications Linux server administration skills (preferably CentOS + CPanel) - Apache configuration - Monitoring and log analysis - Command line proficiencies - Understanding of Linux file permissions Experience of working with web service APIs Experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS Additional useful experience (not necessarily required): - Angular - React - Working with open-source libraries - CI / CD experience - Working with headless CMS We envision approximately 20-30 hours per week in support of our current backend developer slowly taking over a big part of his workload.
