Add references to article on psychotherapy theory

Dear Freelancer, I'm looking for a professional who can help me add references and help with scholarly writing for an article about psychotherapy. The article is over 1000 words long and highly credible sources can be used for the references. They must be in APA format. My target journal is the Journal of Psychotherapy Integration, which accepts articles of 25-35 pages, inclusive. (About 4000 words plus references). They don't often publish theoretical articles, which mine is, but I am President Elect of the organization, which might, along with stellar scholarship, get me past administrative review. Working title: Towards a unifying definition of pathology amenable to psychotherapy Abstract: The troublesome divisiveness of the field of psychotherapy is both a cause and a consequence of a lack of consensus on what, exactly, it is we treat. Each therapy has its own definition of the problems it is designed to address, which tends to retard efforts to bridge between orientations and “brands” of therapy. Today, knowledge of the brain as a computational organ shaped by evolution for adaptation has advanced to the point where it is possible to identify psychotherapy’s targets as products of the mind, defined as the computational function of the brain. In this article, we propose the phrase, “entrenched maladaptive patterns” to describe that pathology, manifested as a broad range of real world problems amenable to diverse schools of therapy. Seeking common features of entrenched maladaptive patterns, we refer to evolutionary biology and recent neurophysiology to characterize their origin, function, how they are initiated, how they are maintained, and how they are manifested in life. The richest dividend from this application of contemporary science, is explaining how words and interpersonal events are able to bring about enduring change. Identifying change mechanisms leads to clarification of their clinical requirements, which, in turn, supports and validates existing techniques. A further benefit is that clearer understanding of underlying processes opens the way to cross-theoretical research as well as further refinement of technique and the rational ability to combine techniques from diverse forms of psychotherapy. I am a recognized thought leader and prolific writer of essays and informal articles, but have only one peer-reviewed publication. Citations would range from work on psychotherapy to evolutionary biology and neurophysiology.
