We are looking for a true guru in SQL2005 to help fine tune the direction of a couple of projects.
We want to explore putting our XML / SOAP / Web Service remote data distribution service in to the DB tier. We also want to see what advances from 2000 to 2005 we should take advantage of. Or even avoid SQL in favour of MySQL or similar if the benefits donât stack up for what we are looking to achieve vs costs.
We are looking for independent expert advice / guidance in laying out the schema / data architecture for a new project, we have Db experience in house but are wise enough to keep our options open and strive for most contemporary best practice.
We think that we could also get some dashboards up and running using analysis services in addition to the OLAP / Pivot Table excel work that has proven successful, to allow better / easier visibility of key metrics.
We are a small company and being honest, we don't have much budget at the moment and have good SQL 2000 skills in house, however this is an opportunity to get on board, work with us on a longer term and even move to a permanent basis in the future as we develop some very hot URLs.
We are based in Coventry with a team in London / Surrey.
