Hi I'm Micky and this is how I'd improve this style of content for you. What I would do to improve on it would be 1. adding more sound effects and text on screen 2. incorporating more transitions 3. adding zooms and pan/crop effects. 1. Kids like sound effects and it subconsciously brings them joy, adding more noises can retain their attention and increase happiness. I would put more effects that mimic their actions and emotions as well as some text that pops up to highlight what they're saying. In the video example posted Michael's mom asks "Are you copying me?" adding a fun subtitle above their heads would not only be interesting but help kids understand the context of the situation. 2. The transitions in the video aren't really there and I think some simple transitions like screen swipes can go a long way even if most viewers don't notice it, it adds motion and that's a very strong tool to retain viewership. 3. Adding zooms and pan/crop effects ties into the transitions point mentioned before. Motion is a strong and simple video editing technique that adds something like spices to a recipe. Not everyone is going to know what it is that makes the dish special but the chef will. So I think adding zoom effects to one persons reactions would go a long way.
