This project requires knowledge of Symbian/Windows cell phones and its OS. We need to write a beta software to allow for the following:
1. To convert a cell phone into a dumb phone, i.e. so it can be used as a regular telephone.
2. To route the voice data from the microphone out the Audio In pin, AND Route voice data coming from the Audio Out pin to the speaker
OR
To route voice data from the microphone out the Audio Out pin, AND
Route voice data coming from the Audio In pin to the speaker.
3. Convert key presses into DTMF dialing tones, and route those tones out the appropriate pins (from question 2) when the radio modem is in command mode.
4. Route commands sent from the microprocessor to the radio modem out the cell phone's communication port, and not process those commands in the radio modem.
If you can answer these 4 questions with "yes" and a thoughtful discussion of how you plan to do it, please send me a message and we can get started on this project. Please include telephone references in the U.S. if you are in the final list.
