We are wanting a flash photo viewer and slide show built. This is a mix of of simpleviewer ([login to view URL])
and a custom flash slide show player similar to what Flickr had (but no longer uses).
There should be a flash file that reads an xml file. We need to have complete rights to the software including source. The compiled
flash files, the flash source files, and the xml files will all be the exclusive property of our company. We do not want someone elses
product passed off to us as a custom product.
Ok, now that that is said, let's get to the specifics:
XML file with a section for settings (height, width, background color, transition type (random, pan left, pan right, pan top, fade,
slide, maybe others…), and all the other settings that I have outlined in the attached file) and a section for images with the
attributes setting image properties (path, height, width, [thumb_path]) See attached xml ([login to view URL]) for example that would be
similar.
SWF file to read the xml file and resize the images specified in the xml file to display properly in the swf. The swf should be able to
be multiple sizes and should have play/pause controls for the images. See attached image ([login to view URL]).
I have put some comments in the xml file. They are just for the developer and not needed for the final file. Also, the player controls
should look like this flash [login to view URL]
We want kind-of two modes: one a simpleviewer-like mode that would display larger thumbnails on the left or the right and not show the
mouse-over blow-up that we have shown in the mockup. And another mode that would be just like what we have shown in the mockup image. In the second mode, the thumbnails should slide up when the player is moused over the bottom and slide back down after the mouse goes off.
The galleries button would link to the xml setting gallery_home and would only be shown if the gallery is in bottom thumbnails mode and
the show_galleries setting is yes.
The thumbnails should be auto-generated from the middle of the image specified in the path attribute unless there is an image specified
in the thumb_path attribute. The thumbnail size for the simpleviewer-like mode is 60x60. In the other mode, when the thumbs are not
being moused-over their size will be 20x20; when they are moused over, they should grow a little and the blow-up should be the 60x60
size.
The movie_width and movie_height are the overall dimensions of the flash. The images should be automatically resized to fit inside whatever space is left that the thumbnails don't take up.
Captions should be shown below the image (above the thumbnails if they are below the image) and be turned on and off initially by the setting show_captions, and they by the user by the show captions or hide captions link that should be on the controls bar.
Make sure to read the comments in the [login to view URL] file and look at the picture as they explain some things better than I can in words.

I am able to show off a working flash photo gallery. It is not "exactly" as you have described but it is very nice. I can deliver this in 3 days for a fraction of your budget range. I also can provide multiple themes for this particular flash gallery(different colors & backround designs). For details, check your PM.
