My name is John-Udo Schiesl. I am 28 years old. I live in Napier, Western Cape, South Africa.
A little bit about myself:
I had the great privilege of growing up in a Christian home where three languages were spoken: German, English and Afrikaans. My father is German and my mother is South African. Because these three languages were spoken in our household, I was naturally often asked to translate content from German into English or vice versa, which I gladly did. I studied Anglophone Studies at the Philipps-Universität Marburg from 2014-2017. I then studied Theology at the Bibel- und Missionsschule Ostfriesland from 2017-2020. While studying there, I was asked to be an interpreter, either from German into English or from English into German, on several occasions.
I recently started working as a Missionary for Immanuel International Outreach Ministries in January 2021. I am also going to start translation work on a book recently published by a brother in Christ and friend of mine from German into English.
I grew up in Germany and finished my schooling there. Speaking, understanding and writing German is no problem for me whatsoever, as well as being proficient in English.
"Proverbs 14:23 (CJB) In all work there is profit, but mere talk produces only poverty."
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
John-Udo Schiesl
