Hi Freelancers, I need a mechanical FEA analysis of a part made of steel that gets inserted into a gypsum board wall, like a thumbtack would. I need to know the following: 1. Insertion force required to push part into a wall made from gypsum(drywall) until fully seated. 2. How much load can be hung on the part before the gypsum fails or the part does? 3. Displacement and stress images for both cases. I will provide a step file of the part as well as the material to be used. I am a project manager at an engineering solutions company. We have a current project to use a shock absorber to stop a load should it overrun its end stop position. It is to be mounted horizontally to a floor mounted bracket. Four anchor bolts will then fix the bracket to the floor. The shock absorber manufacturer has used simulation software to provide the resultant max. load value experienced over the full stroke. Although the bracket has been modeled by an experienced design engineer we don't have the FEA (Finite Element Analysis) function on our Cad software or FEA experience. i designed a high pressure juice press in a 20ft container in sketchup. now i need someone doing this design in solidworks/inventor so that i can 3d print the files and a company could produce the press. you would also need to do fea for some parts. most parts like jack and hydraulic pump and air compressor and air cylinders etc are standard components, ie sourcable in china. to show what the press should do you can see a film: washer, mincer, grinder, bottler, power unit are chinese machines, i would need to print them and put them into the container like in a doll house.
